Welcome to the motion graphics, visual fx and animation studio Poke it With a Stick.

Poke it With a Stick is run by Director and Creative Director Aslan Livingstone-Ra.

Aslan is a London based designer/animator/producer/creative director/editor with more than 20 years experience in the broadcast industry. Having worked for network news and entertainment in both the USA and UK.

Previously he spent 4 years as 'Animator In Residence' at BBC Newsnight, the BBC's flagship current affairs programme. He has also worked as producer/animator for the Al Jazeera network's environmental strand 'Earthrise' and motion graphics designer for BBC News. including the One, Six, Ten and News Channel broadcasts as well as 'The One Show'. He co-created the BBC's opening titles for 'Global with Jon Sopal' as well as the BBC's ongoing 'Budget' brand. Before joining the BBC he worked with the ABC Network in the US, producing/editing for 'Good Morning America' and 'World News Tonight' and producing/editing/directing/graphics for 'Nightline'.

Software includes: Cinema 4D, Octane Render, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Avid Media Composer, Syntheyes, Mocha, Mudbox, 3DS Max, Realflow  

Clients Include: BBC, ITV, ABC (US), Al Jazeera, Nekton, CGTN, Disney, Deluxe, Yoyo Pop, Recipe and Blacklist Creative amongst others.
